- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef.
- Cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Add sliced onions and garlic, cooking until the onions are translucent.
- Stir in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- If a thicker gravy is desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the skillet. Stir until thickened.
- Serve hot over rice or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- For added flavor, use smoked paprika in the beef mix.
