- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 cups beef broth
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- In a slow cooker, combine beef, broth, carrots, potatoes, onion, garlic, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add milk and melted butter, stirring until combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough mixture into the stew during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Add frozen peas in the last 10 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

- Feel free to adjust the vegetables based on what you have on hand.
- This stew can be made a day ahead of time and reheated before serving.
