- 2 pounds beef flank steak
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Slice the beef flank steak into thin strips and place in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Pour the mixture over the beef.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the broccoli florets to the slow cooker.
- To thicken the sauce, mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry, then stir into the sauce. Cook for an additional 30 minutes.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the beef in the sauce overnight.
- Serve with sesame seeds for garnish.
