- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
- Brown the brisket on both sides in the skillet, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Transfer the brisket to a slow cooker and add the onions, garlic, beef broth, thyme, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the meat is tender.
- Once cooked, remove the brisket and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with the cooking juices poured over the top.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the brisket overnight with the seasonings.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the size of the brisket and your slow cooker model.
