Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or linguine

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and cook until softened.
  2. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add shrimp to the tomato mixture and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Incorporate the cooked pasta into the shrimp and sauce mixture. Toss to combine.
