- 1 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons turkey bacon, chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 cup mixed seafood (shrimp, squid, etc.)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add onion, garlic, and green bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
- Add the chicken ham and mixed seafood, cooking until the seafood is opaque.
- Stir in the rice and Cajun seasoning, ensuring everything is well combined.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked through.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, then stir in the cooked turkey bacon.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
- Leftover seafood or different types of proteins can be used as substitutes.
- This dish can be made a day in advance and reheated.
