- 2 ribeye steaks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- Let the ribeye steaks sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Preheat a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
- Rub the steaks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic and rosemary to the skillet.
- Remove the steaks from the heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve with your choice of sides.
Notes
- For a thicker steak, increase the cooking time slightly.
- Resting the steak after cooking helps retain its juices.
