Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef, cooking until browned; drain excess fat.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk. Stir in cooked beef mixture.
  5. Layer half the potatoes in a greased baking dish, cover with half the beef mixture, then half of the cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  8. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
