- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning with salt and black pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add cooked spaghetti and toss to combine.
- Remove from heat, and stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half the butter with olive oil.
- Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of red pepper flakes.
