- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups potatoes, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onions until cooked through.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
- Add the cooked beef and onion mixture over the potatoes.
- Pour the soup mixture over the top, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
