- 2 pounds potatoes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 package pre-made pie crusts
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
- Add ground beef, salt, pepper, and paprika; cook until browned.
- Meanwhile, boil the potatoes until tender, then mash them.
- Combine mashed potatoes with the beef mixture and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust and cover with the top crust.
- Cut slits in the top for steam to escape and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- For the slaw, combine shredded carrots and cabbage, toss with salt and olive oil.
- Serve the pie hot with the quick slaw on the side.
Notes
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Feel free to add your choice of spices to the beef mixture.
