Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Shells are a delightful seafood dish that brings indulgence to your dinner table. Easy to prepare and full of flavor, this recipe combines rich crab and succulent shrimp stuffed into large pasta shells and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 12 large jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the package instructions, drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, shrimp, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Stuff each pasta shell with the seafood mixture and place them in a baking dish.
  5. Pour the marinara sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the marinara sauce.
  • These shells can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
