- 1 large head of cabbage
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully separate the leaves.
- Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place a generous amount of the cheese mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll them up tightly.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Arrange the stuffed cabbage steaks seam side down in the dish.
- Top with remaining marinara sauce and cover with foil.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can mix in some cooked ground meat to the cheese filling.
- Adjust the cheese types according to your preference.
