- 1 head green cabbage
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves until tender.
- In a skillet, cook onion and garlic until fragrant. Add ground turkey and turkey bacon, cooking until browned.
- Mix in rice, tomatoes, and seasonings.
- Stuff each cabbage leaf with the mixture, rolling tightly.
- Place the rolls in a baking dish and cover with remaining sauce.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until heated through.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add extra cheese on top before baking.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey with beef if preferred.
