- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 cups sliced potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Drain excess fat and stir in the cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, and then half of the cheese.
- Add the remaining potatoes on top and finish with the rest of the cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider mixing in some chopped onion or bell pepper with the ground beef.
- You can also swap out the cheddar cheese for a blend of your favorites.
