- 1 head green cabbage
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound beef sausage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Add the beef sausage and shrimp, cooking until the shrimp are pink.
- Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, and Cajun seasoning; mix well.
- Carefully separate cabbage leaves and blanch in boiling water for a few minutes to soften.
- Place a generous amount of the shrimp and sausage mixture in each cabbage leaf, folding them like a burrito.
- Arrange the stuffed cabbage in a baking dish and cover with remaining diced tomatoes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until heated through.
Notes
- For an extra kick, add more Cajun seasoning to the filling.
