- 1 pound ground turkey
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crisp.
- Remove bacon and sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until soft.
- Add ground turkey, bacon, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, mixed vegetables, salt, and pepper. Cook until turkey is browned.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Spread mashed potatoes over the turkey mixture.
- Top with shredded cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Feel free to swap out ground turkey for ground beef for a richer flavor.
- For added flavor, include your favorite herbs in the meat mixture.
