  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
  • Roll out each biscuit dough piece into a flat circle.
  • Place a teaspoon of strawberry jam and a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming a ball.
  • Carefully place the donuts in the hot oil, frying in batches. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  • Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
  • In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll each warm donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
  • Serve the donuts warm, garnished with fresh strawberries.
