Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Fresh strawberries, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to 180°C (350°F).
- In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.
- Roll out each biscuit dough piece into a flat circle.
- Place a teaspoon of strawberry jam and a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each dough circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming a ball.
- Carefully place the donuts in the hot oil, frying in batches. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll each warm donut in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
- Serve the donuts warm, garnished with fresh strawberries.
Notes
- Ensure the oil is hot enough to avoid greasy donuts. A thermometer can help maintain the correct temperature.
- To make sealing the dough easier, slightly dampen the edges with water.
