Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté jalapeños, onion, and garlic in oil until softened.
  2. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  3. Lower heat and stir in chicken, cream cheese, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and oregano until combined and smooth.
  4. Add cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
  5. Serve hot with crumbled bacon and fresh cilantro on top.
