- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, for topping)
- Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Spread the crushed pineapple (with its juice) evenly at the bottom of the dish.
- Scatter the blueberries over the pineapple.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit. Do not stir.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much of it as possible.
- If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- If using frozen blueberries, there’s no need to thaw them first.
- For a crunchier topping, you can add more nuts or a sprinkle of granulated sugar before baking.
