Description

Monte Cristo Sliders offer a delightful twist on the classic Monte Cristo sandwich, adapted into slider form for easy sharing. These sliders combine sweet and savory flavors, making them a perfect choice for parties, gatherings, or a family meal. Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 slices mild cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound roasted turkey deli meat
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese

Topping

  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter, melted

Dipping Sauce

  • Confectioners’ sugar, for topping
  • Red raspberry preserves, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
    • Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Carefully split the King’s Hawaiian sweet rolls in half. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
    • Layer the cheddar cheese slices over the rolls, followed by the roasted turkey and honey ham deli meat, and top with Swiss cheese slices.
    • Cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  3. Add the Topping:
    • Generously brush the tops of the rolls with melted unsalted butter.
    • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and bubbly.
    • Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops of the sliders are golden brown.
  4. Finishing Touches:
    • Remove from the oven and let cool for about 5 minutes.
    • Dust with confectioners’ sugar and serve warm with red raspberry preserves for dipping.

Notes
