- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (divided)
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Parmesan Cream Sauce (Optional):
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and grease a baking sheet.
- Combine breadcrumbs, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Beat eggs in a separate dish.
- Coat each chicken breast in eggs and then in the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to the baking sheet, top with remaining Parmesan and provolone/mozzarella. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 400°F.
- (Optional) Prepare the cream sauce: Heat heavy cream, stir in Parmesan and garlic powder, and cook until thickened.
- Serve the chicken with or without sauce.
