This creamy seafood chowder combines tender shrimp, cod, and optional scallops with hearty vegetables in a rich, velvety broth. Perfect for a comforting meal at home, it’s simple to prepare and brimming with flavor.

			- 2 tbsp butter
 - 1 tbsp olive oil
 - 1 medium onion, diced
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 2 celery stalks, diced
 - 2 medium carrots, diced
 - 1 large potato, peeled and diced
 - 4 cups seafood or chicken broth
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup whole milk
 - 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
 - 1/2 lb cod or other white fish, cut into bite-sized pieces
 - 1/2 lb scallops (optional)
 - 1/2 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
 - 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
 - Salt and black pepper, to taste
 - Fresh parsley or chives, chopped
 
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onion, garlic, celery, and carrots for 5 minutes until softened.
 - Add broth and diced potato. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes until the potato is tender.
 - Stir in heavy cream and milk. Gently simmer, avoiding a boil.
 - Add shrimp, cod, scallops (optional), corn, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until seafood is cooked.
 - Serve in bowls and garnish with parsley or chives.

- Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
 - Serve with crusty bread or crackers.
 - Use fresh seafood for the best flavor, but frozen works in a pinch.
