  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This comforting Crockpot Angel Chicken recipe combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy, Italian-seasoned sauce served over angel hair pasta. A hearty meal made easy by the slow cooker, this recipe requires minimal preparation and is perfect for busy days when you need a satisfying, family-friendly dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 package (16 oz) angel hair pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for pasta)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine the cream cheese, condensed cream of chicken soup, butter, and dry Italian dressing mix. Stir over medium heat until smooth and well-blended.
  2. Arrange the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot, making sure they lay flat.
  3. Add the Sauce: Pour the prepared cream cheese mixture over the chicken breasts, fully coating them.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Cover and cook on Low for 4–5 hours or on High for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. Prepare the Pasta: About 20 minutes before the chicken is done, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and toss with a bit of olive oil if desired to prevent sticking.
  6. Serve: Serve the chicken over the angel hair pasta, and spoon the creamy sauce over the top. You can either shred the chicken or leave it whole.

Notes

  • Herb Variation: Sprinkle fresh basil or parsley on top before serving for added color and flavor.
  • Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of chicken broth or milk to keep the sauce creamy.
  • Low-Carb Option: For a low-carb version, replace pasta with zucchini noodles or steamed vegetables.
