Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time, and add vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading if cookies bake too flat.
  • To make these cookies chewier, increase brown sugar slightly and bake for a slightly shorter time.
