Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- Olive oil for cooking (optional)
- Burger buns (4 buns)
- Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, extra ranch dressing, etc.)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Using clean hands or a spoon, thoroughly combine the ingredients until evenly mixed. Ensure the cheese and ranch dressing are well-distributed throughout the chicken mixture for maximum flavor.
2. Form the Patties:
- Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions.
- Shape each portion into a round patty, about 1/2 inch thick. Try to make the patties evenly sized for uniform cooking.
3. Cook the Burgers:
- Skillet Method (optional):
- Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the chicken patties in the skillet, ensuring there is space between each patty to allow for even cooking.
- Cook the patties for approximately 5-6 minutes per side. Flip only once to avoid breaking the patties.
- Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature has reached 165°F (75°C).
- Grill Method:
- Preheat your grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Place the patties directly on the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once.
- Again, ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
4. Assemble the Burgers:
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster if desired.
- Place the cooked chicken patties on the bottom halves of the buns.
- Add your preferred toppings, such as fresh lettuce, sliced tomatoes, onions, or additional ranch dressing for extra flavor.
- Top with the other half of the burger bun.
5. Serve:
- Serve the Cheddar Ranch Chicken Burgers immediately while hot.
- Pair the burgers with a side of crispy fries, a fresh garden salad, or sweet potato wedges for a complete meal.
